Imaginarium – this year’s collection from 1882 Ltd. will be showcasing daringly imaginative, hand crafted one-off or limited-edition pieces by leading British creative visionaries, including Bafta and Oscar award winning art director & set designer Shona Heath, music artist Robbie Williams, furniture designer Max Lamb, ceramicists Amy Jayne Hughes and Leah Jensen, fashion designer Giles Deacon and Scottish artist Bruce McLean. In each piece there is a curiosity and playfulness of form, pattern, colour and texture that engages and enthrals.
The dynamic design-driven British ceramics brand 1882 Ltd. is focused on a revolutionary ethos where each new piece is designed and made where no challenge in terms of structure, shape or finish is considered impossible. At the core of 1882 Ltd. is the belief that anything is possible where design and art meet the brilliance of centuries of heritage craft skills. Each piece, hand crafted by master potters and painters at 1882 Ltd.’s factory in Stoke-on-Trent who marry centuries-old traditional skills with innovative thought and modern silhouette, strives to push the boundaries of contemporary ceramics to be at once both a sculptural artform and functional object, challenging the material, the master potter’s expertise and the artist’s ingenuity.
